Yard dog….
Pardon the cell phone pics. Ravi took these just a few weeks ago (maybe less) and now Dingo is officially a “yard dog”. Meaning, sorry… no more snuggling under my covers unless you have had a bath. And the ticks! Oh the ticks! :shudder: I noticed them a few days ago and Ravi has been dutifully picking them off until I can afford to buy some tick medication. I hate ticks, I loathe them even. With a passion.
But Ding-dog is indifferent. He romps about the yard gleefully. He looks incessantly for the cat. He hangs with his buddy Sequoia and pesters Allie (my housemates dogs). He barks at passersby. At homeless people. At neighbors. At random sounds he hears. At the cat if he finds her.
And the mud. He has discovered all the places at the house where water can be found and then he gets into it. And gets himself all muddy and gross. And apparently gets his muddy paws on Ravi. Dingo is a FULL shade lighter due to the dust that is constantly covering his fur. If you pat him a cloud of dust puffs off of him.
Fortunately, our lovely outdoor shower will soon have hot water and so I will soon be bathing outside for the most part and there Dingo can join me. And then he can snuggle in the bed. But not under the covers anymore.
